School of Urban Railway Transportation invited Francois DIEU, CEO of Kaiares Asia Pacific, to give an academic lecture

     On the afternoon of July 8th, School of Urban Railway Transportation invited Francois DIEU, the CEO of Kaires Asia Pacific, to give an academic lecture titled Analysis of Multi standard Urban Rail Transit Operation Technology Characteristics to the faculty and students of the school. The lecture was held at 8A528 Modern Transportation Engineering Center and was chaired by Teacher Wang Fen  from the college.

     In the lecture, Francois DIEU, CEO of Caiaulis Asia Pacific, first introduced the technical characteristics and operation management points of Shanghai Pudong Airport Rapid Transit Line, Jiaxing Tram, Dujiangyan Irrigation Project Tram and other lines that Shenkai is responsible for operating in China; Analyzed and compared different urban rail transit systems from multiple perspectives such as passenger flow demand, operational efficiency, and network planning; Then, taking the urban rail transit networks in France and typical cities in China as examples, he analyzed the superiority of trams in solving urban transportation and traffic congestion problems from the aspects of road rights form and signal priority. Students who participated in academic lectures, based on their own research and life experiences, had in-depth exchanges and discussions with Francois DIEU regarding the recent problems in the operation and service of Shanghai Metro. The atmosphere at the conference was lively, and the teachers and students present listened attentively to and studied the lecture content, further broadening their academic horizons.

     Francois DIEU  is the CEO of Kaires Asia Pacific and the General Manager and CEO of Shanghai Shenkai Public Transport Operation Co., Ltd. Having conducted rail transit operations in multiple cities in countries such as France, the UK, and China, with over 20 years of experience in urban rail transit operation and management.
