On the afternoon of April 11th, School of Urban Railway Transportation at Shanghai University of Engineering Science and Wuxi Metro Operation Co., Ltd. held an exchange seminar at 8A521 Modern Transportation Engineering Center. The meeting was chaired by Liu Zhigang, Dean of School of Urban Railway Transportation.
Liu Zhigang, Dean of School of Urban Railway Transportation, warmly welcomed and sincerely thanked the arrival of Wuxi Metro. He provided a detailed introduction on the overview, faculty construction, scientific research, talent cultivation, and other aspects of the School of Urban Rail Transit. Dean Liu expressed his hope to further exchange and cooperate with Wuxi Metro in key project research, promotion of scientific and technological achievements, and talent development in the future.
Wang Anbin, a nationally appointed professor at School of Urban Railway Transportation, provided a detailed introduction to the college's work in vibration and noise reduction in rail transit, as well as related research topics, including abnormal wear of carbon skateboards. He pointed out that the generation of vibration noise comes from equipment mismatch. By installing dampers and improving the matching performance between equipment, with the help of monitoring systems, more accurate operation and maintenance can be carried out, thereby further reducing the impact of noise. He stated that the college can further collaborate with Wuxi Metro on vibration and noise reduction modules.
Qian Chunlong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Chairman of the Labor Union of Wuxi Metro Operation Co., Ltd., gave an overall introduction to the opening and selection of subway lines in Wuxi, as well as the problems faced in vibration reduction and noise reduction. He stated that the problem of mismatch between train operating speed and design speed is becoming increasingly prominent. In order to actively address the challenges faced by rail transit, through systematic detection and in-depth research, potential risks and hazards can be reduced to ensure the safety and reliability of rail transit operation.
Before the meeting, the leaders of Wuxi Metro Operation Co., Ltd. and the leaders of School of Urban Railway Transportation visited the college's track rolling contact friction wear and fatigue laboratory together.
